Affordable data recovery is here.

If you’ve ever gone through the process of data recovery before, you’ll recall not only how stressful, but how expensive it can be. Many firms charge thousands of dollars just to get started, and the price climbs the more data you want back.

It’s time to change all of that.

Our Recovery Process

Step 1. Start with Software

We first work with you to determine whether your drive with the data on it is a candidate for software recovery. If it is, we start by making an attempt to recover all important data using professional tools. The cost to perform this service is a flat $99, not including any devices we purchase (in consultation with you) to transfer the data to (if applicable). If we fail, and you do not want to proceed further, our standard diagnostic fee applies.

Step 2. Qualify the hardware

If the software method is not a good approach or your device isn’t a good candidate for it (i.e., it has mechanical problems that prevent us from booting it at all) we next need to determine if it is a candidate for hardware recovery. To do this, we submit a Probability of Success Report to our partnered forensic recovery lab. If we receive a favorable response (80% chance or higher to recover the sought after data), the price is calculated based on complexity and other factors and quoted to you.

Step 3. Hardware Recovery

We ship your drive to our forensic lab (currently in California). The lab spends 2+ weeks attempting to acquire all data available, and returns with a success or failure status. If at this point the process has failed and no data could be recovered, you are only charged for the costs to ship the device to the lab (and / or a small diagnostic fee for removal of a hard drive from your device) and your original device will be returned to you once it is shipped back to us.

What devices qualify for data recovery?

Computer Hard Drives: Any hard drive found inside a desktop, all-in-one PC, or laptop, whether mechanical or SSD.
This includes all interface types, all OS types, and all partition types.

RAID / NAS Drives: Any type of drive in a RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) setup, or a NAS (Network Attached Storage) drive.

USB Flash Drives: Any type of “thumb” or “pen” drive.

SD / MicroSD / eMMC / CF Cards: Any special type of memory card, commonly used in DSLR cameras or other recording or video game equipment.

Can data be recovered from an iPhone / Android phone?

Because of the nature of how smartphones are encrypted to protect data, only a very limited number of smartphones qualify for data recovery. Contact us to learn more.

Is my data safe while it is being recovered?

Our lab takes extraordinary steps to ensure the privacy of all of our customers is the first priority. All software and hardware used to recover data is designed in a way that actual contents of files recovered is never necessary to be viewed (header information on each file is more than enough).

Pricing

Software-only data recovery jobs are a flat $99.99.
All laboratory data recovery jobs start at just $399.99.

Lab tickets require a $100.00 deposit to cover diagnostic fees and shipping.

Once your device has been sent to the lab, they will determine whether or not the device is encrypted or needs a donor drive, or other complexities. All additional complexities are subject to increased costs, however the costs are reasonable. Nearly zero of our laboratory data recovery jobs exceed $1000.
As expected, we will always discuss any change in price with you before proceeding.
